With over 4,500 people taking part and travelling over 52,000 miles in the six week game last year, Beat the Street have continued to promote and support groups in Sudbury and Great Cornard.

Sudbury Citizens Advice Bureau is Moving

After over thirty years occupation at Belle Vue, Newton Road, Citizens Advice Sudbury will be relocating.  However, on account of some legal difficulties that are currently being experienced, in partnership with Babergh District Council, we will be temporarily housed in Sudbury before moving to our final planned destination.

Chief Constable Gareth Wilson and Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) Tim Passmore will be going ‘on tour’ again this year, visiting town centres across the county.

Repairs to Town Hall roof – current legislation dictates that work to repair the Town Hall roof must be advertised through the Contacts.gov tender process. A contractor will be engaged to carry out the work as soon as possible.

Several shops in Sudbury town centre were completely destroyed following the fire in Friars Street on Sunday evening. About 100 firefighters tackled the blaze after being called at about 18:25 BST.

Mrs Valerie Potter of Rowhedge Road, Colchester won the £200 voucher from Amor Interiors, 16 Friars Street, Sudbury by completing the feedback form at the Taste of Sudbury Food & Drink Festival in June.  

Sudbury Town Team Prize Draw - September winner

Karen Sheldon from Abbey Road, Sudbury won the September prize of a £50 voucher from Sainsbury's.  This is the last prize in the summer promotion of the 'I Love My Local Market Towns' bags but the limited edition bags are still available in retailers and businesses throughout Sudbury for £2.50 each.
