Over 500 people completed a “Sudbury Survey” to help identify what was best about Sudbury and reasons for visiting. The survey was organised by Gainsborough's House and the Sudbury Town Team who conducted the survey earlier this year. Sam Bawden the Town Team Chairman said “We were extremely pleased with the response and the interest shown in helping us to identify priorities for the future of Sudbury. This survey helps to give us an insight into what people think of Sudbury and we are continuing to assess this so that full details of the survey can be made available shortly.”
Initial appraisal of the survey has confirmed one issue, brought up consistently, which was how to find out what events are happening in Sudbury. The Tourist Information Centre produce a monthly what's on guide which is available from the centre located in the Library and which can be emailed monthly or downloaded from the Town Council website. Sudbury has a wide range of events happening throughout the town every month and to help promote this, supplement the Tourist Information Centre guide and provide another opportunity for visitors to gain a better knowledge of what is going on in Sudbury, the Sudbury Town Team are producing a monthly article which is published in several newspapers, magazines and newsletters but can now also be emailed to you monthly by the Best of Sudbury. By signing up to the monthly e-newsletter 'What's On in Sudbury' at http://sudbury.
